Advantages and Disadvantages of BAPIs

Advantages:
- Status
of data sent is known.
- Sending
and processing on the target system is immediate.
- It
is easier to create a custom BAPI when compared to creating a custom IDOC
Disadvantages:
- The
target system has to be online to work with BAPI
- Programming
knowledge is required to work with BAPI.
