Workflow - Maintaining Substitutes ProgrammaticallyBy Arghadip Kar, IBM India All the substitute details are stored/available at database
table HRUS_D2. Whenever a substitute is maintained, an entry is made into this
table. In order to maintain a substitute through a program, the function module
RH_UPDATE_SUBST_LIST_SERVER can be used. To maintain a substitute through a
transaction, please click
here. Demo of the function module:
In our demo, let us maintain a substitute for the user AKAR
with GKUMAR2. Go to transaction SE38 and enter the function module name.
Click on execute. Click on table SUBST_TAB.
As seen in the following screenshot, maintain the substitute
for the user AKAR:
Execute the Function Module
As mentioned earlier, all the substitutes are maintained in
the database table HRUS_D2. Let us verify the substitute data we maintained
using the above mentioned function module. Go to transaction SE16 and enter the table name HRUS_D2
Enter the user name for which a substitute is maintained (in
this case it is AKAR)
As observed in the following screenshot, the substitute
information for AKAR is maintained with the user GKUMAR2.
