Demo on Environmental Analysis

Introduction:

In this article, we will learn what is environment, how to use the environmental analysis and why it used and how by using it will be helpful to the developers.

What is Environment?

The environment of an object is the set of all external reference objects. The external reference objects must themselves be Repository objects.

There is slight difference between WHERE USE of an object and it’s Environment.

Let’s take example of Repository object Domain.

 Use:  Domain in: Data element, table, view. ..., screen, program.

 Environment:  External references to a domain: Value table, conversion routine.

How to use Environment Analysis?

Let’s now see the above example practically in R3 system.
