Transporting objects in PIBy Sandeep Govindan, Keane(India) Pvt Ltd In Order to know how the transport mechanism in PI works we will first
look at the landscape that we are interested in.
Create
Business System Groups In order to maintain sanctity between individual business systems, it is
important that we define business system groups, so that the respective Business
systems are mapped to the corresponding Integration server. In our example: ·
BS_RED_200 is the Business system to which the objects in IR
have been mapped and developed in PI development server ·
BS_REQ_050 is the
Business system to which the objects in IR must be mapped and developed in PI
quality server ·
BS_REP_500 is the Business system to which the objects in IR
must be mapped and developed in PI production server Let’s see as how we can move the objects from DEV to QA without having
to redo the entire configuration in QA system In the integration home page, click on ‘System landscape Directory’
From the home page of your SLD click on ‘Business systems’
You
will get to see the list of business system configured in your landscape. Note:
The scenario explained is when a single SLD is configured for the entire
organization landscape.
Creating
Groups Now let’s create grouping for each
business system/Integration server combination Choose Edit groups from drop down
Click on ‘New Group’
