Creation and Usage of Freely Programmed Search Help in Web Dynpro for ABAP

Introduction

Freely Programmed Search Helps come to recue when an attribute has no search help of its own.In such Scenarios we will have to create our own search helps. These search helps will be used as an interface components in other application.

Following article will help in creating a freely programmed search help and using the same created.

Step 1

Create a wda component as shown below in the screen shots

Step 2

Go to "Implemented Interfaces" tab and enter IWD_VALUE_HELP.and in the action column click on the "REIMPLEMENT" Button. as shown below.

Step 3

Now in the component controller select the WD_VALUE_HELP view.
