STEP 2 Create a RFC enabled function module from transaction SE80/SE37 under a function group. This RFC enabled function module will call the alert triggering function module SALRT_CREATE_API.

·         Create a RFC enabled function module (Z_CREATE_ALERT) into a function group from SE80/SE37 transaction.  

·         Create the import parameter for the container variables which are created during alert category creation. We will pass the values of these variables during runtime from the java mapping.  

·         Write the source code of the function module and call the alert triggering function module (SALRT_CREATE_API).  

·         Source code snippet of the function module (Z_CREATE_ALERT) is available here.  

STEP 3 Create a table (XILOOKUP) in database (here we have used MYSQL database) and enter the product id (INPUT) and product name (OUTPUT).  

 

STEP 4 Now create the data type, message type and message interface (service interface) in the XI.

·         Create source and target data type.  

  

   

·         Create source and target message type.  

  

 

·         Create source (outbound) and target (inbound) message interface (Service Interface).
