Creating a simple eCATT Test Script for Material Batch Creation Using BAPI

To create an eCATT you must first create the Test Script. After the test script you will create a Test Configuration and system data. we will see how to develop a test script to upload a test data file with a practical example. After reading this article you will have a clear idea about eCATT tool. And you will be able to write a test script in which test data can be loaded from a file.

Open eCATT tool. Use Transaction code SECATT.

Enter Test Script name :

Click creates and you will then see the following screen:  

Give description and component name as ‘MM’.

Click on Pattern button on menu bar or go to Edit->Pattern or Press Ctrl+F6.

Choose Group value = ALL COMMANDS

Choose Command value =  FUN (BAPI Name)

You will be returned to the eCATT screen and you should see a prompt asking if you want to transfer the data. Choose Yes.  

Then a Function Module will appear in the editor area.  

Now double-click on the Interface. In this case the interface was named BAPI_BATCH_CREATE_1

To find out technical value of the screen field select the field press F1, then clicks on technical information button.  And now create the local variable as V_matnr and

Replacing function variable with import variables.
